As a pastor at Bayview  I want to thank you for embracing this vision.  It is happening and people are becoming connected  & involved in following Jesus!  I was encouraged of this a few days ago in the words of one such person who said, "I finally get it!". 

As Believers and Followers - Disciples of Jesus Christ we call this "The Great Commandment" = Loving God & Others & "The Great Commission "= Showing People the way to know Jesus as their personal Savior & God.

As we reach out to others especially through the "Doing Family Right" conference and our upcoming "Resurrection-Easter" services  I want to remind each of us to keep the focus of "SHARING THE GOSPEL AND OUR LIVES" as 1 Thessalonians 2:7-8 emphasized . .. "we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel but our lives as well."  That is how we make our ministry & lives relevant to our world!

So lets together set our sights on growing in this direction.  Here are some questions I connected with this week to help me evaluate and focus my "Sharing The Gospel and Our Lives" personally and as  a church.  I invite you to join in praying and responding to these with me . . .

"Does this statement (Sharing The Gospel And Our Lives) reflect your personal ministry to others?  Does it embody our church's ministry in our community?  Are you communicating to others with equal clarity and passion the truth of the Word of God and a heart of love for needy people?"
