  1. Paul states confidently that we have a God “who never lies.”
    A. Read Numbers 23:19, Hebrews 6:13-19, and 2 Timothy 2:13
    B. How are you personally confident that we have a God who never lies? In the sermon
    C. In the message on Sunday, Pastor Kevin’s provided the following formula

    Faith (knowledge of truth) + works = hope of eternal life, guaranteed by a God who never lies

    How do you reconcile Paul’s emphasis in Titus on “good works” with his exhortations in Romans 1:17, 3:20, and 3:28?

    Discuss this and then read Galatians 5:16-24 and James 2:14-17.  How do you reconcile the apparent tension between faith and works in scripture?


  1. Read Titus 1:10-11, 1 Timothy 1:6-7, and 2 Peter 2:1. Have you experienced these kinds of people in this or previous churches?
