Ministry Update 8.29.30
Hafa Adai Bayview church,
Because of the governor’s PCOR restrictions, we will not be hosting any worship services on campus this Sunday. In fact, we anticipate that for the two Sundays we will only be providing teaching online that will include kid’s material prepared by Jessica, a smaller worship set, and a lesson for adults. The Sunday sermon content will change for the next several weeks. Here is the plan for this along with other important ministry information:
- We are in the process of redesigning our equipping classes from gathering together over a series of on-campus meetings to online streaming with fewer campus meetings. Steve Stinnette has prepared an excellent series on spiritual gifts that will instruct and feed our church. I will utilize the next two Sundays to incrementally put this content out for viewing. I highly recommend it.
- Many of you have asked me about Bayview’s position on compliance to some of the restrictions that don’t seem necessary. I have written a letter to our church with a Biblical response to civil disobedience. I recommend our members read it also.
- I have been preparing a teaching series on the Song of Songs that I hope to launch into when reconvene on campus worship. This book is rarely taught and I’m excited to share the encouraging truths it contains for us.
Lastly, I would like to share that we continue to help people who have needs stemming from the PCOR challenges. Our church has been generously contributing to the Samaritan Fund we use for this. We have had an abundance in this fund which allowed Bayview to seek out ways to lend support to foster kids through Harvest House ministries as well as women in need through Safe Haven ministries. Thank you for the grace you’ve given.
Looking forward to when we can worship together in person!
